spring-1

I SO love spring, and it’s beginning to show its welcome face here in West Texas. Even though the birdbath had a layer of ice on it in yesterday morning, by lunchtime I had the patio door open to air the house. Today promises to be just as lovely… my kind of winter (wink).

Today’s card reflects my spring-like mood with the pastel colors from the Birthday Blooms DSP. I only wish that bloom were in my flowerbed, but thanks to Stampin’ Up,  I can enjoy stamping and water coloring this one while I wait for my perennials to make their appearance in a few weeks. The sentiment is from the Sheltering Tree set; don’t you love the font? If only I could write that beautifully. Thank you, Stampin’ Up! for providing me a lovely alternative to my own cursive.

Because I intend to use this card to send a note to a friend, I left the inside panel blank. Well, I couldn’t resist adding a little ink and bling in the upper corner: a flower from Perpetual Birthday set and a small enamel dot from It’s My Party.

Thanks for stopping by!
