The tree is down, the decorations have been packed away, and my craft area is no longer “gift wrap central.”  Let the fun begin!

I’ve been eager to play with the Birthday Bash Specialty DSP from the new Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog as well as the Perfect Pennants stamp set that I purchased recently. I think I’m still a little numb from all the holiday festivities, so I went to Pinterest for design ideas and found my inspiration from Susie Wood’s card.

The card base is Bermuda Bay cardstock that I embossed with the Lucky Stars embossing folder. The DSP is a strip from the confetti paper in the Birthday Bash set. In order to pull out the little flecks of gold foil in the paper, I placed a thin strip of  gold foil sheet under the left side. The two stars from the Perfect Pennants set were stamped with Memento ink on the back of the foil sheet and then cut out. I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to create the tag in Whisper White and backed it with black cardstock to make it pop. The bow is made with 1/8″ Calypso Coral organdy ribbon left from Everyday Enchantment (retired).

The sentiment “Sending Good Thoughts Your Way” is so versatile that the card can be used for everything from birthday wishes to a get well card–my favorite kind of card! It went together quickly, so I will probably make several more to have on hand.

Customers can begin ordering from the 2015 Occasions catalog on January 6, but one of the great perks of being a demonstrator is being able to purchase new products in advance.
