Sometimes having the right tools for a job means the difference between awesome or abysmal results. Take for example these cards that I whipped up this weekend. The pattern on the front is from a die that I found when organizing my craft supplies recently. I bought it years ago because the design combines two things I love: quilting and Native American patterns. However, I never was successful using it, and it ended up forgotten, tossed in a box with odds and ends. I decided to give it another try with some awesome tools that I now own: the Precision Base Plate, Die Brush Set, and the amazing  Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets.

On the first two cards, I attached the design to a sheet of Whisper White cardstock using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen. The fine tip made it easy to apply a thin strip of glue, but the glue squeezed out onto the card front in a couple of places.  Then I remembered the new SU adhesive sheets that I just purchased. It worked really well; the die cut even more crisply with the adhesive sheet attached to the cardstock.  All those little pieces came loose with only a little pressure from the paper piercer, and I didn’t even need to use use the brush as I did on the previous two.

The take-away from all this? If you purchase one of the beautiful, intricate dies from the new catalog, be sure to add the tools that I’ve listed below to your order!
