Pals Blog Hop of Winter Wishes
Posted on December 10th, 2013
Welcome to the final Pals Blog Hop for 2013. This month we are showcasing projects created with products that should be on every crafter’s wish list. You may just be starting the blog hop or may have arrived here from Kelly DeTommaso at Kellys Creative Corner. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup listed below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.
Traditionally we associate the month of December with wishes. Children compile wish lists for Santa while grown-ups take time to wish friends and family a happy holiday with cards and gifts. Take some time today to connect with your inner child and compile your own crafting wish list as you travel through the blog hop and see what products we are featuring.
The tool that has made the biggest difference in my paper crafting is probably the Big Shot die cut machine. This tool makes it possible to create professional looking shapes and dry emboss paper with beautiful designs. Once you have a Big Shot, I recommend that you purchase the nested dies that Stampin’ Up! offers. I used the Framelits Labels Collection to create this Christmas book for my granddaughter. Craft supply stores offer shaped chipboard albums on rings, but why let someone else dictate the shapes you will use and how many pages your album will have? Once you experience the freedom of creating your own shapes for cards, scrapbooking, and treats, you will wonder how you ever did without your Big Shot, dies, and embossing folders.
My granddaughter just turned four, and she is so excited about Christmas. Because she loves books, I wanted to give her a little book about her Christmas last year. As we browse through the pages, we will not only remember last year, but we will talk about all the fun she has to look forward to this year. My book has 16 pages plus the front and back cover, so rather than post each picture individually, I’ve put them together in the slide show below. If you have any questions about the paper, stamps, etc. that I used in the book, just leave me a comment and I’ll be happy to share that information with you.
The next stop is Angie Blake at Angie’s Musings on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting, and I hope to see you next year!
