Love & Sympathy
Posted on December 4th, 2015
I recently made these two sympathy cards just to have on hand when the need arises. Seems like the need arises a lot more frequently now that we have sailed past 60. Common sense should have prompted me to keep a few of these cards on hand for some time now, but I haven’t. I can honestly say that I’ve never thought to myself, “Oh, goody. I feel like making a sympathy card.” However, having to come up with one quickly isn’t any fun, either.
The design for the second card is one I used for a friendship card I made for a Freshly Made Sketches challenge back in March. I love the navy and white with the slight touch of gold foil. Seems appropriate for something as solemn as a sympathy card. The navy patterned paper is from the Birthday Bash DSP and the white is from the Irresistibly Yours DSP, both 2015 Sale-A-Bration products. The greeting is from the Love & Sympathy stamp set. It’s one I will definitely keep using even after it is retired.
Thanks for checking in today. May you have very little need for sympathy cards this holiday season!
