The early morning air is turning crisp here and it’s beginning to seem like fall. Area towns are already having their Harvest Festivals and HEB has a huge bin of pumpkins ready for carving.  It’s easy it be grateful for cooler days here in Texas and look forward to family gathering together for the holidays. The message on these stamps is so true because we would all be happier if we could remember to be grateful for our blessings all season long, not just one day of the year.  I found a quote by Dietrich Bonhoeffer about gratitude that seemed appropriate for the inside of this card, “It is only with gratitude that life becomes rich.”

Because I wanted a quote that I didn’t have a stamp for, I created a hybrid card. I enjoy the tactile aspect of stamping with ink and cutting cardstock, but I also enjoy using My Digital Studio. The program is easy to use and the cards print out beautifully. Although I don’t usually make fall themed cards, this week’s Pals Paper Arts  Challenge inspired me to make duplicates of this card to send out to friends and family. So, I guess you could say that my family will be grateful that I accepted this challenge.

Seriously, even in these stressful political and economic times, I’m still grateful that I live in America and enjoy blessings that people in other countries only dream of. Take a minute to leave a comment and let me know what you are grateful for this fall.

Thanks for stopping by!
