I have been married to my best friend for over 40 years and am mom to two grown sons. I have retired from teaching secondary English after 30+ years (hence the name Texas Schoolmarm). I miss being part of students’ lives, but I enjoy having more time for crafts, baking, and loving on my two grandchildren.
I blog about literacy, health and fitness, family, and crafting my path through retirement. Blogging keeps me from drifting thoughtlessly through my days. It holds me accountable as a writer.
I have been craftomg for as long as I can remember, thanks to a mom who loved to create all sorts of handmade items and encouraged me to do the same. I discovered rubber stamps and ink in 2005, and my passion has grown stronger with each passing year. I rarely go a full day without planning or working on a project!
Leave me a comment if you have any questions or thoughts about my posts. I look forward to hearing from you; writing is communicating, and I’m looking forward to our conversations!

I wasn’t sure where to leave my comment so I hope it’s ok here. Very pretty card! I know your friend will love it! Glad to have you back!
Thanks, Debbie. I’m not sure why the comment option didn’t show up on the card’s post. I tried to resolve it, but finally gave up. Thanks for thinking to post a comment here!
